NGXASI Dips -0.10%, Dragged by Banking Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.10% today to close at 155,496.15pts, as losses recorded in UBA (-4.29%), GTCO (-2.00%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.53%) propelled the domestic equities market into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a tepid note, reflecting little trading activities as yields barely moved across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 17.41%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a quiet note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 15.87%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira closed flat at NGN 1,457.96/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) inched up by 0.03% to close at USD65.96pb.
