NGXASI Declines -0.09% Dragged by Bellwether Stocks

The NGXASI declined by 0.09% today to close at 155,353.20pts, as losses printed in ZENITHBANK (-3.21%), WAPCO (-1.72%) and UBA (-1.49%) drove the local bourse into the negative terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a relatively quiet note, as yields remained largely unchanged across the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.40%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up to close at 15.88%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.32% to close at NGN 1,448.21/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 2.30% to close at USD64.11pb.
