The NGXASI declined by 0.70% today to close at 154,262.36pts, as losses recorded in BUACEMENT (-2.78%), DANGCEM (-0.75%) and BETAGLAS (-10.00%) pushed the Nigerian equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a marginally positive note, driven by the mild buying interest observed amongst investors at the short and long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.39%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 4bps to close at 15.92%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.26% to close at NGN 1,444.42/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.15% to close at USD65.14pb.
