NGXASI Dips -1.19% on Losses in Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 1.19% today to close at 150,812.02pts, as the losses in TRANSCORP (-10.00%), WAPCO (-7.14%) and MTNN (-5.94%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, due to buy pressure observed across the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 5bps to close at 17.36%. Likewise, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 4bps to close at 15.82%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.34% to close at NGN 1,438.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.42% to close at USD64.17pb.
