The NGXASI declined by 0.33% today to close at 149,524.06pts, as the losses in NB (-4.29%), UBA (-2.44%) and TRANSCORP (-2.22%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly negative note, following selloffs observed at the long end of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 3bps to close at 17.39%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 2bps to close at 15.77%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly strengthened by 0.01% to close at NGN 1,436.58/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.24% to close at USD63.53pb.
