The NGXASI advanced by 0.20% today to close at 143,519.81pts, as the gains recorded in TRANSCORP (+2.44%), WAPCO (+0.90%) and UBA (+1.25%) drove the local equities market into the positive terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a quiet note, albeit with a slight positive tilt, driven by the mild buying interest observed across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 16.84%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased up by 13bps to close at 15.61%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.20% to close at NGN 1,446.74/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.09% to close at USD63.28pb.
