NGXASI Fell -0.33% on Losses in Bellwether Pushing Local Bourse into the Red

The NGXASI declined by 0.33% to close at 165,164.38pts, as losses recorded in FIDELITYBK (-3.80%), FIRSTHOLDCO (-2.23%) and MTNN (-1.38%), drove the local bourse into the red terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note due to buy pressure seen across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 5bps to close at 18.41%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 4bps to close at 16.83%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly appreciated by 0.05% to close at NGN 1,400.48/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.75% to close at USD68.08pb.
