The NGXASI advanced by 1.39% to close at 193,131.18pts, as the gains recorded in MTNN (+4.00%), PRESCO (+7.19%) and STANBIC (+9.52%) propelled the local equities market into the green.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note, reflecting buying pressure across the benchmark curve amidst optimism amongst investors. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 14bps to close at 17.33%. Likewise, the FGN Bond secondary market exhibited a slight positive performance as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 2bps to close at 16.03%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.24% to close at NGN 1,341.35/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.85% to close at USD71.65pb.
