The NGXASI advanced by 0.52% to close at 196,910.4pts, as the gains recorded in BUACEMENT (+5.23%), MTNN (+0.63%) and BUAFOODS (+0.18%), drove the local bourse into the green.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market mildly positive, as investors rush to safety across the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 17.57%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield was down by 2bps to close at 15.79%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.34% to close at NGN 1,371.51/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 6.94% to close at USD98.36pb.
