The NGXASI showed marginal downwards movement to close flat at 201,698.89pts, as losses recorded in NB (-2.78%), OANDO (-2.22%) and NASCON (-3.29%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the negative region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market continued its upward trend driven by investor interest across all tenors of the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined marginally by 5bps to settle at 17.61%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly bearish to flat note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 15.79%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.15% to close at NGN 1,380.79/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 6.82% to close at USD108.06pb.
