The NGXASI advanced by 1.24% to close at 211,912.38pts as gains printed in ETI (+9.97%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.35%) and MTNN (+2.46%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, with marginal buying activities particularly across the short end of the curve. Hence, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 2bps to close at 17.42%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a relatively flat note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 15.85%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.11% to close at NGN1,342.30/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 3.92% to close at USD98.65pb.
