The NGXASI advanced by 0.44% to close at 218,115.07pts, as investors buy interest in ACCESSCORP (+9.87%), UBA (+8.33%) and FIRSTHOLDCO (+6.25%) drove the domestic equities market into the positive terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly up, due to tepid buying interest observed on the short end of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 2bps to close at 17.42%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 7bps to close at 15.92%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.45% to close at NGN1,349.67/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 5.79% to close at USD95.61pb.
