NGXASI Advance +0.07% on Gains in Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI advanced by 0.07% to close at 218,256.59pts, as investors buy interest in WAPCO (+9.64%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+4.41%) and DANGCEM (+3.28%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly negative, due to selloffs observed across the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield inched up by 2bps to close at 17.44%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 15.92%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.08% to close at NGN1,350.74/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 2.57% to close at USD97.93pb.
