The NGXASI advanced by 1.48% to close at 222,837.68pts, as investors buy interest in BUAFOODS (+7.93%), ZENITHBANK (+3.47%) and DANGCEM (+2.35%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly positive, due to buy pressure observed across the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.41%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up marginally by 1bp to close at 15.94%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.40% to close at NGN1,353.91/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.50% to close at USD103.44pb.
