The NGXASI advanced by 2.27% to close at 228,602.00pts, as investors buy interest in BUAFOODS (+8.65%), DANGCEM (+3.46%) and BUACEMENT (+4.48%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed on a slightly positive note, due to buy ins observed across the short and long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield inched lower by 1bp to close at 17.49%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield closed at 16.07%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 1.21% to close at NGN1,380.71/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 3.25% to close at USD111.75pb.
