The NGXASI advanced by 0.36% to close at 243,158.97pts, as investors buy interest in STANBIC (+9.70%), GTCO (+3.70%) and BUACEMENT(+2.61%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed on a bearish note, due to mixed sentiments observed across the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 7bps to close at 17.54%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 1bps to close at 16.08%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.71% to close at NGN1,365.24/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 5.32% to close at USD113.93pb.
