NGXASI Dips -0.82%, Dragged by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.82% to close at 241,849.24pts, as investors sell pressure in GUINNESS (-10.00%), MTNN (-8.63%) and WAPCO (-2.21%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note, driven by the buy sentiment in the long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 6bps to close at 17.48%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market closed flat as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 16.08%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.10% to close at NGN1,366.56/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 3.31% to close at USD110.65pb.
