The NGXASI advanced by 0.41% to close at 242,729.51pts, as investors buy pressure in AIRTELAFRI (+10.00%), DANGSUGAR (+8.42%) and FIRSTHOLDCO (-1.58%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buy sentiments observed across the benchmark of the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 17.47%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market closed flat as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 16.08%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira advanced by 0.67% to close at NGN1,357.34/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 7.71% to close at USD101.40pb.
