The NGXASI declined by 1.23% to close at 239,596.97 pts, as investors sell pressure in BUACEMENT (-6.51%), DANGCEM (-4.89%) and WAPCO(-5.07%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, driven by the mixed sentiments observed across the benchmark of the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield held steady at 17.47% by the close of trading. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market closed flat as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 16.08%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira advanced by 0.11% to close at NGN1,355.85/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.66% to close at USD99.59pb.
