
The NGXASI advanced by 2.10% to close at 244,775.83 pts, as buy pressure in DANGCEM (+10.00%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.98%) and BUACEMENT(+6.71%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a tepid note, driven by the weak buy sentiment observed across the mid and long tenors of the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bps to close at 17.46% by the close of trading. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a mild negative sentiment as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 2bps to close at 16.10%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.41% to close at NGN1,361.39/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.82% to close at USD101.88pb.
