The NGXASI declined by 0.01% to close at 250,330.92pts, as the losses recorded in SEPLAT (-0.98%), WAPCO (-0.59%) and DANGSUGAR (-2.75%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note amid the mild buying interest observed across the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 2bps to close at 17.48%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 1bp to close at 16.12%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.19% to close at NGN1,373.70/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.68% to close at USD111.10pb.
