NGXASI Advance +0.53%, Buoyed by Industrial, Banking Counters

The NGXASI advanced by 0.53% to close at 251,635.42pts, as the gains recorded in BUACEMENT (+5.75%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+3.77%) and ZENITHBANK (+1.50%) drove the local equities market into the positive zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly negative note amid the mild selling interest observed across the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield inched higher by 2bps to close at 17.50%. However, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 4bps to close at 16.08%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened marginally by 0.01% to close at NGN1,373.87/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 1.38% to close at USD110.55pb.
