The NGXASI advanced by 0.26% to close at 250,385.70pts, as the gains recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (+3.70%), NEM (+8.94%) and UBA (+0.79%) drove the local equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note amid selling pressure observed across short end of the curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 3bps to close at 17.51%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 7bps to close at 16.37%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.16% to close at NGN1,373.25/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.82% to close at USD92.00pb.
