NGXASI Dips -0.36% on Losses in FIRSTHOLDCO, ZENITHBANK

The NGXASI declined by 0.36% to close at 246,686.66pts, as the losses recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (-6.72%), ZENITHBANK (-2.25%) and PZ (-10.00%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a mildly positive note amid buy pressure observed across the curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 17.47%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish to positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield closed at 16.36%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.42% to close at NGN1,361.05/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined marginally by 0.07% to close at USD94.91pb.
