The NGXASI declined by 0.05% to close at 244,738.74pts, as the losses recorded in ZENITHBANK (-1.97%), UACN (-3.36%) and NB (-1.84%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note amid sell sentiment observed across the short end and the belly of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 3bp to close at 17.69%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield traded higher by 2bps to close at 16.75%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira fell by 0.18% to close at NGN1,365.40/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.50% to close at USD93.57pb.
