The NGXASI declined by 0.50% to close at 241,984.80pts, as the losses recorded in GTCO (-7.11%), ZENITHBANK (-2.83%) and UBA (-3.72%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note amid bearish sentiment observed across the three tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 3bps to close at 17.77%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish to positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield traded lower by 1bp to close at 16.88%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.04% to close at NGN1,365.50/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 4.57% to close at USD79.37pb.
