The NGXASI declined by 1.27% to close at 237,748.29pts, as the losses recorded in DANGCEM (-7.36%), AIRTELAFRI (-1.46%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.94%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note due to the mild selling interest observed at the mid and long end of the curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield inched up by 2bps to close at 17.91%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield marginally increased by 2bps to close at 16.97%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.13% to close at NGN1,363.30/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.48% to close at USD78.37pb.
