The NGXASI declined by 0.62% to close at 235,941.27pts, as the losses recorded in GTCO (-9.97%), WAPCO (-4.52%) and FIRSTHOLDCO (-9.84%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note due to the mild sell pressures observed at the three tenors of the curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 24bps to close at 18.15%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 3bps to close at 17.00%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.52% to close at NGN1,370.46/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.66% to close at USD80.38pb.
