The NGXASI declined by 2.34% to close at 235,074.54pts, as the losses recorded in DANGCEM (-10.00%), BUACEMENT (-10.00%) and GEREGU (-10.00%) drove the local equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by sell pressure at the three tenors of the bench mark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 17bp to close at 18.33%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by17bps to close at 17.29%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.69% to close at NGN1,380.07/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 3.87% to close at USD74.10pb.
