NGXASI Dips -0.66%, Dragged by ARADEL, GTCO INTBREW

The NGXASI declined by 0.66% to close at 232,049.02pts, as the losses recorded in ARADEL (-10.00%), INTBREW (-8.33%) and GTCO (-1.62%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by sell pressure observed across the short and long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 8bps to close at 18.67%. Likewise, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 40bps to close at 17.78%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened slightly by 0.06% to close at NGN1,380.93/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 4.48% to close at USD71.89pb.
