The NGXASI advanced by 0.45% to close at 229,419.18pts, as the gains recorded in AIRTELAFRI (+10.00%), DANGSUGAR (+4.87%) and FCMB (+7.81%) drove the local equities market into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, driven by the sell pressure observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 6bps to close at 18.70%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 2bps to close at 17.88%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.28% to close at NGN1,379.68/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.22% to close at USD72.99pb.
