The NGXASI was unchanged today at 243,954.15pts, as the gains recorded in UBA (+2.37%), INTBREW (+9.92%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.73%) was offset by the losses in STANBIC (-6.63%), GUINNESS (-9.99%) and GTCO (-0.71%).
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by the sell pressure observed across the long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 6bps to close at 18.51%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 1bp to close at 17.73%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.09% to close at NGN1,379.62/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.76% to close at USD75.72pb.
