The NGXASI advanced by 0.01% to close at 241.761.23pts, as the gains recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.98%), MTNN (+1.23%) and TRANSCOHOT (+8.37%) drove the local equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy pressure observed across the short and mid end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 6bps to close at 18.41%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 2bps to close at 17.72%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.25% to close at NGN1,383.08/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 2.51% to close at USD85.39pb.
