NGXASI Dips -0.09%, Dragged by Blue Chips

The NGXASI declined by 0.09% to close at 242,141.61pts, as the losses recorded in BUACEMENT (-9.99%), TRANSCORP (-0.81%) and CAP (-9.61%) drove the local equities market into the negative region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the short and mid tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.40%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 17.64%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.05% to close at NGN1,381.53/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.07% to close at USD85.01pb.
