NGXASI Advance +1.21%, Driven by UBA, FIRSTHOLDCO, BUACEMENT

The NGXASI advanced by 1.21% to close at 246,183.96pts, as the losses recorded in BUACEMENT (+9.98%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.95%) and UBA (+6.37%) drove the local equities market into green.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the short end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 3bps to close at 18.37%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 1bp to close at 17.62%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated marginally by 0.01% to close at NGN1,380.11/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.51% to close at USD89.43pb.
