The NGXASI advanced by 0.20% to close at 246,183.96pts, as the gains recorded in BUACEMENT (+2.28%), MTNN (+0.91%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.94%) drove the local equities market into positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 2bps to close at 18.35%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 8bps to close at 17.54%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.35% to close at NGN1,373.11/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 2.06% to close at USD91.06pb.
