EQUITIES
The local bourse closed today’s trading session on a positive note, as gains in BUACEMENT (+2.3%), MTNN (+0.9%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.9%) caused the All-Share Index to close higher by 0.2% to 246,677.63 points. Consequently, the Month-to-Date and Year-to-Date returns edged higher to +7.5% and +58.5%, respectively.
The total volume traded advanced by 11.4% to 932.45 million units, valued at NGN49.28 billion, and exchanged in 50,059 deals. ACCESSCORP was the most traded stock by volume and value at 336.62 million units and NGN8.65 billion, respectively.
On sectors, performance was broadly positive as the Insurance (+0.5%) and Consumer Goods (+0.5%) indices advanced while the Industrial Goods, Banking, and Oil & Gas indices closed flat.
As measured by market breadth, market sentiment was positive (1.8x), as 34 tickers gained relative to 19 losers. UPDCREIT (+9.9%) and THOMASWY (+9.7%) led the gainers, while MECURE (-10.0%) and HMCALL (-9.9%) posted the most significant losses of the day.

The official FX rate depreciated by 1.9% to NGN1,375.43/USD
MONEY MARKET & FIXED INCOME
The overnight lending rate expanded by 4bps to 22.2%, despite inflows from FGN Bond coupon payments (NGN1.46 trillion).
The Treasury bill secondary market traded on a bullish note as the average yield contracted by 2bps to 18.4%. Across the curve, the average yield contracted at the short (-5bps) and long (-1bp) ends due to demand for the 44DTM (-33bps) and 198DTM (-11bps) bills, respectively but remained unchanged at the mid segment. Similarly, the average yield contracted by 1bp to 21.4% in the OMO segment.
Elsewhere, activities in the FGN bond secondary market were bullish as the average yield contracted by 9bps to 17.3%. Across the curve, the average yield contracted at the short (-8bps), mid (-16bps) and long (-5bps) segments driven by buying interests in the FEB-2031 (-20bps), MAR-2036 (-41bps) and APR-2037 (-22bps) bonds, respectively.
