NGXASI Dips -0.51%, Dragged by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.51% to close at 245,418.37pts, as the losses recorded in BUAFOODS (-10.00%), NESTLE (-10.00%) and STANBIC (-2.34%) drove the local equities market into red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.34%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 6bps to close at 17.48%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.41% to close at NGN1,369.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 3.10% to close at USD93.83pb.
