The NGXASI advanced by 0.98% to close at 247,832.97pts, as the gains recorded in BUACEMENT (+4.52%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+9.91%) and HBMNG (+4.33%) drove the local equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 4bp to close at 18.30%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 9bps to close at 17.39%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.14% to close at NGN1,367.76/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 6.67% to close at USD100.34pb.
