NGXASI Dips -0.19% on Losses Recorded in PRESCO, THOMASWY, TRANSEXPR

The NGXASI declined by 0.19% to close at 247,357.40pts, as the losses recorded in PRESCO (-10.00%), THOMASWY (-9.98%) and TRANSEXPR (-8.44%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 3bp to close at 18.27%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 2bps to close at 17.37%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.41% to close at NGN1,362.09/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 4.51% to close at USD96.15pb.
