NGX Ends Marginally Lower as Investors Lock in Gains

Market Summary:

 

  • Today, the Nigerian Exchange Market closed on a negative note due to share price depreciation in ACCESSCORP (-7.53%) and BUACEMENT (-2.47%)

 

  • As a result, the benchmark Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index (NGX-ASI) fell by 0.05% to settle at 247,258.74 points

 

  • Year to date returns fell to settle at 58.88%

 

  • Market capitalisation also fell by 0.05% to close at N159.51tn ($117.10bn)

 

  • Activity level in the market improved with the total value and volume of stocks traded rising by 73.60% and 3.81% to settle at N57.20bn and 637.96mn units respectively.
