The NGXASI declined by 0.03% to close at 245,283.68pts, as the losses recorded in MTNN (-2.35%), STANBIC (-2.42%) and UBA (-2.94%) drove the local equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the belly and long ends of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 9bp to close at 18.06%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 2bps to close at 17.08%
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.11% to close at NGN1,368.22/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.01% to close at USD89.93pb.
