The NGXASI declined by 1.12% to close at 243,967.09pts, as the losses recorded in BUAFOODS (-10.00%), HBMNG (-2.48%) and UNILEVER (-9.97%) drove the local equities market into the negative.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a mild positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.13%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a weak note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 2bps to close at 16.88%
At the NFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.32% to close at NGN1,360.58/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell marginally by 0.03% to close at USD88.88pb.
