The NGXASI declined by 0.23% to close at 243,416.59pts, as the losses recorded in HBMNG (-4.57%), ZENITHBANK (-2.24%) and UNILEVER (-9.97%) drove the local equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, driven by the mixed sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged to close at 18.13%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield advanced by 3bps to close at 16.93%
At the NFEM window, the Naira apprecaited by 0.22% to close at NGN1,357.65/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.89% to close at USD88.19pb.
