NGXASI Dips -0.10% on Losses in ETI, DANGSUGAR, Nigerian Breweries

The NGXASI declined by 0.10% to close at 242,770.94pts, as the losses recorded in ETI (-5.41%), DANGSUGAR (-7.79%) and NB (-2.44%) drove the local equities market into the negative zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, driven by the sell sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield advanced by 41bps to close at 18.54%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a weak note as the Average FGN Bond yield advanced by 3bps to close at 16.96%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira remained flat to close at NGN1,357.61/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.09% to close at USD88.02pb.
