The NGX Dips Slightly as Investors Lock in Gains

Market Summary:

 

  • Today, the Nigerian Exchange Market closed on a negative note due to share price depreciation in ETI (-5.41%) and NB (-2.44%)

 

  • As a result, the benchmark Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index (NGX-ASI) fell by 0.16% to settle at 242,619.20 points

 

  • Year to date returns fell to settle at 55.91%

 

  • Market capitalisation also fell by 0.16% to close at N156.62tn ($115.37bn)

 

  • Activity level in the market declined with the total value and volume of stocks traded falling by 10.53% and 66.64% to settle at N45.31bn and 1.41bn units, respectively.
