NGXASI Dips -0.06% on Losses in NEM, STANBIC, ZENITHBANK

The NGXASI declined by 0.06% to close at 242,472.70pts, as the losses recorded in STANBIC (-3.16%), NEM (-8.83%) and ZENITHBANK (-0.33%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by the sell sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield advanced by 8bps to close at 18.62%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 6bps to close at 16.90%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.59% to close at NGN1,349.54/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.52% to close at USD88.98pb.
