NGXASI Dips -0.35% on Losses in FIRSTHOLDCO, FIDELITYBANK, UNILEVER

The NGXASI declined by 0.35% to close at 241,613.49pts, as the losses recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (-5.71%), FIDELITYBK (-6.59%) and UNILEVER (-6.63%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buying interest observed across the long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.61%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 3bps to close at 16.87%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.46% to close at NGN1,343.32/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.63% to close at USD91.44pb.
