NGXASI Declines -0.30%, Dragged by Banking, Oil & Gas Tickers

The NGXASI declined by 0.30% to close at 240,037.80pts, as the losses recorded in UBA (-2.17%), ZENITHBANK (-0.48%) and OANDO (-3.68%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a mild positive note, driven by the buying interest observed across the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.59%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 16.79%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.21% to close at NGN1,347.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.74% to close at USD93.21pb.
