Today, the Nigerian Exchange Market closed on a negative note largely due to share price depreciation in FIDELITYBK (-6.00%) and FIRSTHOLDCO (-1.58%)

  • As a result, the benchmark Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index (NGX-ASI) fell by 0.11% to settle at 239,085.17 points
  • Year to date returns fell to settle at 53.64%
  • Market capitalisation fell by 0.09% to close at N154.40tn ($114.62bn)
  • Activity level in the market was mixed with the total value of stocks traded decreasing by 33.13% to settle at N23.83bn.
  • Meanwhile, the total volume of stocks traded rose by 60.49% to settle at 668.72bn units.
